On Sunday 27th May we are organising and hosting an Asparagus Festival to celebrate this great Cornish ingredient.
Time ~ 11am – 4pm
There will be food preparation demo’s running throughout the day all centred around Asparagus and using only local Cornish ingredients. Joe Lado the Penventon’s Executive Chef (Multiple AA Rosette Awarded), will be leading his Brigade of chef’s in the cooking demonstrations along with 3 other guest chefs including one team from Cornwall College.
There will also be stalls from individual local suppliers so that all ingredients can be purchased on the day.

St Austell Spring Fayre is a two day event based on all things green, garden or locally produced.
A strong community event using the whole town.

With the backing and full support of all the above organisations and many of the local community groups and charities. This promises to be a bumper event packed with visitors to see the 1st annual spring fair for st austell.   

With Best in show for produce, flowers and plants  in the market house, trinity church, st johns methodist on the Saturday.

21st January 2012, we will be celebrating the life of the famous poet Robert Burns and our new partnership supporting Children’s Hospice South West. Our ever popular Burn’s evening will include Pipers, a full Scottish Ceilidh band, the infamous address to the haggis as well as plenty of whiskey!

Ticket prices are £24.95 per person to include three-course Scottish style meal with coffee and tot of whiskey, pipers and entertainment until midnight. A proportion of all ticket sales will go directly to Children’s Hospice South West.

Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is a Christmas story known to millions throughout the world. However, the award-winning actor and master of the one-man show Pip Utton manages to give this well-loved classic story a distinctive and enthralling twist, which can be seen in his performances at Fowey Town Hall this Christmas.

The show will include Comedy; both stand up and improvisation (similar to Whose Line is it Anyway?), a quirky local Musical duo, performance poet and a mind reader and enigmatist. There are also three open slots available. Our very own American Comedian, Teresa Holcomb, will be your compere for the evening. Tickets are only £5 and include ‘Christmas surprises’. Doors open 7pm. A magical white Christmas experience for all the family at the wonderful Trevarno Gardens. 10am-4pm daily over the 5 days.

Santa will be in his Log Cabin, his reindeer will also make an appearance and there's is a "12 Days of Christmas "trail for the children. Santa's Post Office will be in operation, Helston Railway will be offering Brake Van/Footplate Rides and there will be entertainment. Cornwall's Best Toboggan Run will also be in operation.
