Mevagissey Working Sail Regatta

Owners of traditional working sailing vessels are warmly invited to attend this inaugural regatta at the beautiful harbour of Mevagissey where you will no doubt meet old friends and new.

We plan arrivals on the Friday reporting to Paul and Harriet on the Lowestoft sailing trawler "Keewaydin" where you will receive a warm welcome and pay your nominal entry fee of £20. The Mevagissey Social Club on the waterfront has been booked for the evenings of Friday ,Saturday and Sunday. There will be a licensed bar.

Percuil Regatta

A fun village Regatta started from a Committee Boat in the beautiful Percuil river setting. Classes include Optimists, handicap dinghies, Shrimpers, Ajaxes and Sunbeams. Courses set appropriate to the class of boat and crew, extending into the Carrick Roads for larger craft. Junior sailors welcome.

Portscatho Regatta

A traditional regatta with a full programme of sailing over an exciting and highly visible course in beautiful Gerrans Bay and featuring a passage race from the Fal, plus various water-sports (swimming, canoeing, raft-racing), together with shore-based fun activities such as sandcastle-building and races for all ages on Tatam's Beach.

The programme is backed by an impressive array of live music and supported by numerous stalls and games, a barbeque and teas, all to be found along the Lugger.

St Mawes Town Regatta

It is a traditional Cornish community day, with children's beach sports in the morning, still with the egg and spoon, sack, 3 leg, etc races plus a mothers and fathers race and free sweets to finish off the fun for the children.

The afternoon starts with the sailing races for local and national classes and the band taking up their position on the quay to commence their musical programme. Mid afternoon the aquatic events take place in the harbour with swimming, rowing, shovel, and novelty races. One and All are welcome.

Fal River Festival 2010

A celebration of life on the river Fal, embracing the places, people, history and culture that are connected by this very Cornish river. The 10-day festival encompasses a variety of events ranging from music and drama, the arts and heritage to rowing races, triathlons and walks.

Cruise to London

4 boats are sailing from Falmouth Marina to St Katherines Dock, London to visit the London International Boat show. Whilst there you can also take in both the Museums, Falmouth & Greenwich.

The trip is 5 days and finishes in London, the cost of the berth is £440 and includes all mooring and berthing fees, all meals eaten aboard, and the use of quality Musto wet weather gear if required. Also included will be tickets to the Show.

People can also join the return leg starting Sunday 17 January for 7 days at the same cost.
