Jubilee Shelter Box Carn Brea Mount Everest Challenge
Camborne Rotary invites you to Celebrate the Jubilee – for somebody else ... by raising funds for ShelterBox and your favourite worthy cause. On the day of Queen Elizabeth’s Coronation it was confirmed that Mount Everest had been climbed for the first time.
There are two events to suit everybody:
CLIMB Everest: for able bodied - teams carry empty ShelterBoxes up and down a 2km course to the top of Carn Brea hill.
The Sundowner Stroll
Bling up your bikini, Add some sparkle to your swim shorts and get walking!
Take part in the Sundowner stroll on Sat 14th July in aid of Cornwall Hospice Care and join our beach themed sponsored walk for the whole family.
This fun filled family event takes in 5 miles along Perranporth Beach, passing Droskyn Point and Chapel Rock down to Penhale Sands and then back for a chance to take in the famous Perranporth Sunset, followed by entertainment & a BBQ at the Watering Hole ‘pub on the beach.’
South East Cornwall Walking Festival
Running for over a decade now, a weeklong festival of walks around south east Cornwall taking in seaside villages, rural hamlets, the Tamar Valley and edge of Bodmin Moor.
Knowledgeable guides head up walks ranging from gentle strolls of two miles to longer treks taking up to seven hours. The walks include places like the historic fishing port of Polperro, the ancient stone circle at Duloe and the old mining areas around Calstock.

National Trust 101 One mile walks across the South West
The new walking South West initiative from The National Trust is all about getting people out walking, so with 101, one mile walks, from Cornwall to Wiltshire, there’s never been a better time, especially with HALF TERM around the corner, to get out for invigorating short walks right near you!
Each walk has been graded with a type of footwear, flip-flop being the easiest, to the more challenging walking boot walk.

From the clever trail experts behind Stumped? is this special edition Halloween Trail. A fun yet spooky way to explore Cardinham Woods.
Collect a clue sheet from Woods Cafe, during normal opening hours, follow the trail to solve the clues and claim a prize!
Suitable for all the family, no booking is necessary. Clue sheets cost £2 from Woods Cafe.

Snowdrop Sunday is a unique opportunity to visit Pencarrow’s stunning gardens before their official opening on 1st March. Blow the winter cobwebs away and enjoy a sneak preview of the gardens as they begin to show the first glimpses of Spring with wonderful displays of snowdrops, early camellias and rhododendrons.

Monday 7th February Goss Moor Power Station
A walk to the Goss Moor power station lasting approximately one hour and 30
minutes. Road and off-road walking.
Monday 14th February Whitegates
A 75 minute circular walk along the old train line, a mixture of road and footpath walking, including steps.
Monday 21st February Menna
A circular walk lasting approximately 75 minutes,
mostly road walking.
Monday 28th February Carne
Canal Walk - Bude
Bude has one of the few canals in Cornwall. It has some of the most extraordinary engineering features of any canal in the county. From the newly renovated sea locks, this walk will take us along the canal towpath to the Barge Workshop at Helebridge, Nr Marhamchurch, a distance of about 2 miles. The walk takes about an hour allowing for some explanations of features en route. The walk will terminate at Helebridge Basin.
