RAF Davidstow Armed Forces Weekend
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY (Saturday 25th June 2011 to Sunday 26 JUNE 2011
WWII Re-enactment South West will be bringing their period displays to the museum ( http://www.wwiireenactmentsouthwest.co.uk/ )
Civilians and soldiers in period uniform displaying weapons and kit.
There will be a daily weapon display at 1200. (Including 303, Sten gun, Mosin Nagant)
Battledress and Bayonet will be in attendance with sales of period clothing and equipment.
Other displays will include:
Camelford Hotels Guest Houses Bed and Breakfast
Hotels and Guest Houses in Camelford.
War Machines Weekend - Davidstow Airfield and Cornwall at War Museum
A display of military vehicles and equipment in addition to the usual museum display.
Camelford Charter 750 - Medieval Pageant and Fair
This is the final weekend of the month long Camelford Charter 750 events. The Pageant and Fair starts at 10.30 when people assemble for the Pageant outside the Museum in Clease Road. The Pageant will process from there to Enfield Park, where the Mayor, Brian Lush will present citations to elected Honourable Citizens of Camelford, followed by the all-day Fair in Enfield Park, through until 4 pm.
Music, demonstrations, dancing, races for children, beer tent by Penpont Brewery, Punch and Judy by Professor Goodvibes and lots more.
