All proceeds from this event will go towards treatments for Malina Bowman, a beautiful, intelligent and talented 32-year-old woman who lives in Helston with her husband Bob and four-year-old son Aaron. She is a brave and inspirational woman who's battle against breast cancer is documented in her blog 'Miss Oestrogen Positive'

A fun day for all the family. Lots of stalls selling a variety of goods including the RNLI selling souvenirs and Christmas cards. Activities for children including Bouncy Castle, Punch & Judy and a launch into the harbour on our mini Lifeboat 'Dash 11' - also loved by others than children!

There are refreshments, a raffle, kayak and gig demonstrations, water polo and the highlight of the day: a rescue demonstration by the crews of the Penlee lifeboats and a helicopter from SAR 771 Squadron, RNAS Culdrose.

The Holifair takes place on the beautiful 32 acre Holifield farm, which is also a day care centre for people with special needs. Holifair is a community fund rasing event for the special needs day care centre. Each year we try and make Holifair as environmentally friendly as possible. And this year we hope to provide all energy used on site from solar, wind and biodiesel and keep use of disposale plastic to a minimum. We hope everyone coming to Holifair will help us in this aim!

The origins of this famous celebration dance are more than likely pre-Christian and connected to ancient spring festivals that take place all over Europe. Nowadays the festival’s original purpose of ushering in a prosperous harvest expresses itself in a lively, colourful celebration that involves the whole town.

A one day festival attracting in excess of 12,000 people who converge on the tiny fishing village to enjoy over eighty food stalls showcasing Cornish food producers along with music and entertainment. The festival’s ethos is to fight the war against food wastefulness and rediscover a world of eating and the resulting pleasures we've forgotten.

With everything from mini mine tours of nativity scenes to the great mince pie eating competition, there really is something for all the family.
