Lowender Peran, the Festival of the Celts in Kernow, is an annual five day event celebrating the distinctive heritage of Cornwall's traditional music, dance, songs, storytelling and the county’s links Brittany, Ireland, the Isle of Man and Scotland. A fun, family friendly event, the weekend consists of ceilidhs, concerts, dance and music workshops,
St Piran's Day
An annual processional play to celebrate St Piran, patron saint of tinners and now accepted by many as Cornwall's premier saint.
Held on the nearest Sunday to St Piran's Day, March 5th, the play produced by the St Piran Trust, takes place in Perranporth, where according to legend the revered saint was washed up on millstone from Ireland in the 5th century AD. Crossing the dunes to St Piran's Cross, hundreds of people gather, generally dressed in black, white and gold, the colours of Cornwall, carrying the Cornish Flag.

Its a Knockout
Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service is holding an It’s a Knockout Team Building event at Perranporth Rugby Club on Thursday 25th August.
The event will raise funds for The Fire Fighters Charity, Help for Heroes and Children with Leukaemia, all part of the Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service Fire and Ice Team expedition to the Himalayas in March 2012.

John Torode Charity Dinner in aid of LARF Cornwall, at Seiners, Perranporth
John Torode is cooking and hosting a charity dinner at the Seiners Rocks Restaurant in Perranporth on the evening of December 4th.
The evening will begin at 7pm with a champagne reception in our amazing Rocks restaurant and 2-3 different nibbles/canapes created by John Torode and our head chef Brian Johnston accompanied by a fantastic classical string duo playing Elton John to Beatles on violin and cello!
