Port Eliot Festival

Saltash Regatta and Waterside Festival

The Saltash Regatta and Waterside Festival – older than Henley – continues the tradition of Cornish Pilot Gig racing with 150 crews in the Mixed Veteran & Junior Championships. There is also the Five Towns Challenge for Cornwall town councillors (Saturday) and the England & Back fancy dress Cutter Race (Sunday). Major RNLI demonstration on both days.

This year, the Regatta theme is Sir Francis Drake, and Pirates of the Tamar.

The Dog Festival - Port Eliot

Roo and Lark, Port Eliot's resident whippets, host a day for all dogs and their servants, erm um, sorry owners. The Dog Festival began as Roo's revenge, as he was banned from the main Port Eliot Festival for most inappropriately peeing on tents. Roo therefore has his own festival with his friends invited along for a fun day out.

Brothers of the Third Wheel-UK Area 1 Custom Show

BTW-UK Area 1(Devon & Cornwall) are holding a custom bike and trike show at 12 noon till 6pm on Saturday 11th June 2011. It is being held in aid of Derriford Hospital Children's Cancer Trust. Live music will be on site supplied by Derriford Hospital Radio who are also going to be doing a live broadcast back to the hospital wards, and we have managed to secure some interesting stalls including leather accessories, tools, music, etc.

Birdwatching Cruise

Join us for a 3 hour cruise on the beautiful Rivers Tamar and Lynher.
We hope to see Little Egret, Shelduck, Wigeon and other wintering wildfowl,Curlew, Oystercatcher, Black-tailed Godwit and of course the stunning Avocets and Spoonbills.

• Full commentary by leading ornithologist Bruce Taggart.
• RSPB and CWT staff on board for help and advice.
• Birdwatchers Question Time.
• Large open upper deck and comfortable enclosed cabin.
