World Bellyboarding Championships

St Agnes Victorian Street Fair

St Agnes Victorian Street Fayre takes place every Whit Monday and has lots to offer to all age groups. The colourful stalls lining the main street are each run by a charity with stallholders dressed in authentic Victorian costume.

This good old fashioned event has a tombola, plant, book, bric-a-brac stalls, local produce and crafts are on sale and strawberry cream teas and refreshments are served up. Entertainment comes from St Agnes Sliver Band, local bands, choirs and singers from around the area and clog dancers

St Agnes Bolster Festival

A celebration of Cornish music and art featuring life size puppets, a drum band and a 28ft giant effigy re-enacting the famous Cornish legend of the giant called Bolster.

St Agnes Lifeboat Day

A mass rescue by St Agnes D Class lifeboat Blue Peter IV and the RNLI Lifeguards will open St Agnes Lifeboat Day at 11am on Friday 7 August at Trevaunance Cove.

Among other demonstrations afloat will be the Blue Peter IV crew speeding to the aid of canoeists in trouble, the lifeboat and lifeguards heading out to pick up people marooned on rocks, and an air-sea rescue featuring the lifeboat and a Royal Navy Sea King helicopter.  The lifeboat crew will also show how they are trained to deal with their boat should it capsize in heavy seas.

The 2009 World Belly Board Championship

The 2009 World Belly Board Championship is a charity event run by the National Trust and RNLI, and sponsored by Skinners Brewery. It takes place at Chapel Porth beach near St Agnes.

The event celebrates the origins of surfing in Britain. It's the brainchild of two keen local surfers: Chris Ryan (Chapel Porth National Trust Car Park Attendant) and Martyn Ward (RNLI Lifeguard Supervisor).
