THINK YOU CAN DRIVE
The fourth annual “Think You Can Drive” day organised by The Rotary Club of Truro, hails yet another “Wheelie” exciting day out, with an underlying yet imperative road safety message! Cornwall Council, alongside 999 services will be supporting this event to be held at the Royal Cornwall Showground on 12th September 2010 to offer guidance and road safety advice amidst some fun experiences!
TREASURE HUNT
Fancy a gentle Sunday afternoon stroll that exercises your mind as well as your body? Then, perhaps, a cream tea to replace all the calories?
Our Treasure Hunt starts at the Stithians Centre from 2 pm, with tea from 4pm for those who’d like it (even if you didn’t do the walking).
We’ll start people off at intervals between 2pm and 3:30pm so you can start at any time within that period.

The 68th Annual Camborne Show
The 68th Annual Camborne Show, features competitions and shows of some of the finest livestock, horticulture, pets and domestic arts and crafts in the County. It is the venue of annual BHS Show Jumping, Cattle, Poultry, Pigeons, Cage Birds, Companion Dogs, Domestic and Horticulture competitions, and throughout the day there are displays in tents and arenas of Heavy Horses, Sheep, Goats and this year for the first time Llamas and Alpacas.
Charity tea party
An invitation is being extended to a charity tea party being staged at Roseland Parc as part of a national drive to raise £1 million.
Marie Curie Cancer Care is encouraging groups, communities and friends to hold a ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ with cakes, tea and coffee being sold in exchange for a donation to the cause.
Roseland Parc, a retirement community in Tregony, near Truro, has risen to the challenge. Residents will be attending the event on Monday 5th July. And people from the surrounding community are being invited to come along too.
Gala Fun Day and Lanner 2010 Olympic Games
As part of its gala celebrations the Lanner and District Silver Band and the Lanner Brass Academy are hosting the 2010 Lanner Olympics.
The event kicks off with the opening ceremony, the debut concert by the Lanner Brass Academy at 12.00.
Ten teams will compete in five events ranging from the popular wheel barrow sprint to the notorious tug-o-war! Points will be won for each event with the overall winning team members receiving the much coveted Lanner Olympic gold medals and Trophy!!

Come and join us for a working holiday in the outstanding landscape of North Cornwall.
Help us construct an earth bank using recycled materials from the farm, and create ditches and gateways. The earth will move for us all and we shall have lots of muddy fun!
