An invitation is being extended to a charity tea party being staged at Roseland Parc as part of a national drive to raise £1 million.

Marie Curie Cancer Care is encouraging groups, communities and friends to hold a ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ with cakes, tea and coffee being sold in exchange for a donation to the cause.

Roseland Parc, a retirement community in Tregony, near Truro, has risen to the challenge. Residents will be attending the event on Monday 5th July. And people from the surrounding community are being invited to come along too.

“We’d love to welcome some of our neighbours from Tregony and other surrounding villages to the Tea Party,” said Events Co-ordinator Lois Wild. “We have some beautiful gardens and a south-facing terrace which is perfect for afternoon tea – we’re just hoping the sun shines!”

The Tea Party is being held between 3pm and 4.30pm. Drop in at any time – and bring a friend.
