Gala Fun Day and Lanner 2010 Olympic Games

As part of its gala celebrations the Lanner and District Silver Band and the Lanner Brass Academy are hosting the 2010 Lanner Olympics. The event kicks off with the opening ceremony, the debut concert by the Lanner Brass Academy at 12.00. Ten teams will compete in five events ranging from the popular wheel barrow sprint to the notorious tug-o-war! Points will be won for each event with the overall winning team members receiving the much coveted Lanner Olympic gold medals and Trophy!! The event is being held on 4 July in the Lanner Playing Field and will run along side various other attractions which will include: · Treasure hunt It promises to be a great family day so come along and join in the fun. Full details can be found on the bands website.
